Reserve Prices on Collektr Auctions

A Reserve Price is the minimum price a seller is willing to accept for an item listed for auction on Collektr. The Reserve Price is determined before the auction begins and remains confidential throughout the auction process.

Reserve Prices help protect sellers from underselling valuable collectibles while maintaining a fair, transparent, and competitive bidding experience for buyers.

Reserve Price auctions are not available as a self-service feature. Sellers wishing to list an item with a Reserve Price must submit a request by contacting [email protected] prior to creating the auction. Each request is subject to Collektr's review and approval to ensure commercially reasonable reserve pricing, successful auction outcomes, buyer confidence, and overall marketplace integrity.

What Is a Reserve Price?

When approved by Collektr, a seller may list an auction with a Reserve Price, being the minimum amount required for the item to be successfully sold.

The Reserve Price is not publicly displayed to bidders. Bidding may begin below the Reserve Price, depending on the seller's chosen starting bid and auction format.

Once bidding reaches or exceeds the Reserve Price, the auction status will display "Reserve Met", and the item becomes eligible to be sold to the highest valid bidder upon the successful completion of the auction.

To provide greater transparency throughout the auction process, Collektr may display reserve-related indicators, including whether the Reserve Price has been met or whether the auction is approaching the Reserve Price. Such indicators are provided for informational purposes only, do not disclose the actual Reserve Price, and do not guarantee that the Reserve Price will be achieved.

"Reserve Met" & "Reserve Not Met"

Reserve Met

When bidding reaches or exceeds the seller's Reserve Price, the auction status will display "Reserve Met."

Once an auction has achieved Reserve Met, the highest valid bidder at the close of the auction will be entitled to purchase the item, subject to successful payment and compliance with Collektr's Terms & Conditions.

Reserve Not Met

If bidding remains below the Reserve Price when the auction ends, the item will not be automatically sold.

Where applicable, Collektr's Auto Bid functionality may automatically place bids on a buyer's behalf, including increasing the current bid up to the Reserve Price where the buyer's Maximum Bid Amount is sufficient to satisfy the Reserve Price.

If the Reserve Price is still not met at the close of the auction:
